TYPE OF COMMISSION
On successful completion of course/training, candidates will be granted Permanent Commission as Technical Officers in the Engineering & Electrical Branches of the Indian Navy.

The entire cost of training, including books and reading material, is borne by the Navy. Cadets are also provided with free clothing and messing.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
Age.
16 ½ to 19 years (i.e. born between 02 Jan 1990 & 01 Jul 1992. (both dates inclusive).

Educational Qualification
Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or its equivalent from University/Board with at least 75 % aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English either in Class X or Class XII.

HOW TO APPLY
If you meet the above requirement apply on plain A4 size paper (typed or handwritten) in the prescribed format duly completed in all respect with superscription on the envelope “NCE 2009, PCM Percentage in 10+2 ………………….% , CBSE/ICSE/STATE BOARD ( )”. Post the application to the following address

POST BAG NO. 04, RK PURAM PO (MAIN), NEW DELHI-110066

by ordinary post to reach latest by 25 Jun 08. Application sent by Speed Post/Regd Post/Courier will not be accepted.

TRAINING
The training is scheduled to commence in Jan 2009.

Selected Candidates are entered as Cadets and undergo 16 weeks Naval Orientation Course (NOC) at the Naval Academy, Ezhimala Kerala. Out of these, certain cadets will undergo four years Engineering course at the Naval College of Engineering, INS Shivaji, Lonavala. During the course cadets will be allotted Engineering or Electrical branch. On completion of the course, B Tech Degree will be awarded by Jawahar Lal Nehru University (JNU).

The other cadets after NOC may be nominated for B Tech in Naval Architecture from Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT). They will have to appear for Common Admission Test of CUSAT. The successful candidates after NOC will undergo four years B. Tech in Naval Architecture and and Ship Building at CUSAT.

Thereafter, the cadets will be deputed for a six months course in warship design at Visakhapatnam, followed by 18 months Post Graduate Diploma in Naval Architecture (DIIT-NC) at IIT Delhi.

The entire cost of training, including books and reading material, is borne by the Navy. Cadets are also provided with free clothing and messing.

The promotion criteria for different ranks is as follows:
Rank Promotion criteria
Sub Lieutenant (SLt) On commission
Lieutenant (Lt) – after 2 years as SLt
Lt Commander– after 4 years from date of promotion to Substantive Lt
Commander – after 11 years from date of promotion to Substantive Lt

  • yet i not recive my ssb call leter for indian navy tes(10+2)entry 2010
    so in how many days i will get my call leter or not

    nd how many times i will be appear for tes(10+2)entry
    my date of birth is 20.11.1991
    nd i completed my 12 class in year 2009
