The Indian Army Recruits Women under Short Service Commission (Technical) for Women Engineers at the Officers Training Academy (OTA) Chennai

INDIAN ARMY 
Third (3rd) Short Service Commission (Technical) Women (SSCW (T) Course (April-2009) at Officers Training Academy (OTA) Chennai (including War/Battle casualty widows of defense personnel for tech and non-tech entry)
Last date of receipt of application: 18/08/2008.
Applications are invited from unmarried female, issueless widow, issueless divorcee, widows (with children) of defense personnel’s only for grant of Commission to the Indian Army. Minimum qualifications, vacancies age and percentage are as given below:

Technical Entry: 56 posts
B E/B Tech Civil Engineering (pass), Age: 20-27 years (from 02 April 82 to 01 April 1989), Entry code: 52(1), Application Colour: Yellow
B E/B Tech Architecture, Age: 20-27 years (from 02 April 82 to 01 April 1989), Entry code: 52(2), Application Colour: Yellow
B E/B Tech CSE/IT (pass), Age: 20-27 years (from 02 April 82 to 01 April 1989), Entry code: 52(3), Application Colour: Yellow
B E/B Tech ECE/Telecom (pass), Age: 20-27 years (from 02 April 82 to 01 April 1989), Entry code: 52(4), Application Colour: Yellow
B E/B Tech Electronics/ Electrical Engineering, Age: 20-27 years (from 02 Oct 83 to 01 Oct 1989), Entry code: 52(5), Application Colour: Yellow
Entry for War/Battle casualty Widows with 4 years age relaxation: 1 post
Graduate in any discipline (pass), Entry code: 53(1), Application Colour: White
B E/B Tech. in streams as above (pass), Entry code: 53(2), Application Colour: White
Candidates studying in the final year/semester, of Technical Degree examination, can also apply.

Physical Standards

The minimum acceptable height and weight for women candidate is 152 cm and 42 kg. in Height relatable up to 5 cms in case of candidates from Nepal, Bhutan, North East, Gorkhas, Assamese and Garhwalis.

Pay Scale: Rs.8250-10500/-
