Applications are invited from eligible Indian Citizens for appointment as Probationary Officers (PO) in State Bank of India (SBI).

Date of Preliminary Written Examination : 12/10/2008 (Pre) and Final Exam on : 30/11/2008
Last Date for Receipt of Applications : 16/08/2008

Probationary Officer (PO)
No of Posts: 3500

Qualification

60% marks in class XII and 55% marks in Graduation or Post – Graduation, SC/ST/PWD Candidates – 55% marks in class XII and 50% marks in Graduation or Post-Graduation.
Proficiency in computer operation (Certificate from a reputed Institute or having computer as a subject in class XII or Graduation)

Age

21-30 years as on 01/07/2008. Relaxation as per rules.

Pay Scale

Rs.10000-18240/- (Approx Rs.4 Lac per annum)

How to Apply

Apply online between 14/07/2008 to 16/08/2008. Deposit a fee of Rs.250/- in any CBS branch of SBI and get Challan No. Detail of fee and other information should be submitted online at SBI the website.
WRITTEN EXAMINATIONS TO BE HELD ON 12-10-2008 AND 30-11-2008All applications for the post will be registered online . The online applications will be registered between 14th July & 16th August 2008.

  80. With the grace of Lord Shri Krishna and blessing of my parents, I have cleared my SBI PO preliminary examination conducted recently and I have to appear for Main’s Examination on 30.11.2008. Apparently, there is very short time to prepare. Kindly advise me suitably to prepare well for the forthcoming Main’s exam.
