SARDAR VALLABHBHAI PATEL INSTITUTE OF TEXTILE MANAGEMENT COIMBATORE.

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Textile Management (SVPITM) is a National Level Autonomous Institute, set up by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, to serve as a Center of Excellence in Textiles Management Education, Training, Consultancy and Research towards preparing the textiles industry to face the challenges ahead in the changing environment.
The Institute seeks to fill up faculty positions of Associate Professor in Fashion Management / Apparel Merchandising, Assistant Professor in Textiles, Marketing and Human Resources, on contract basis initially for a period of three years and renewable on mutual agreement. The qualifications, experience required, preferred qualifications and monthly salary are given below.

1. Post – Associate Professor

Area of Specialisation – Fashion Management / Apparel Merchandising

Qualification – 1st Class Post Graduation in respective discipline

Experience – At least 5 to 8 years experience in Teaching/ Research and / or Event Management at Senior Managerial Level.

Preferred – Ph.D / M.B.A. (Event Management) or equivalent

Scale of Pay – Rs 16400-450-20000/-

2. Post – Assistant Professor

Area of Specialisation -Textiles

Qualification – 1st Class Post Graduation in respective discipline

Experience – At least 3 to 5 years experience in Teaching/ Research and / or in industry at Managerial Level.

Preferred qualification – Ph.D / M.B.A. or equivalent

Scale of Pay – Rs 12000-420-18300/

3. Post – Assistant Professor

Area of Specialisation – Marketing

Qualification – 1st Class Post Graduation in respective discipline

Experience – At least 3 to 5 years experience in Teaching/ Research and / or in industry at Managerial Level

Preferred Experiece – Ph.D / M.B.A. or equivalent

Scale of Pay – Rs 12000-420-18300/-

4. Post – Assistant Professor

Area of Specialisation – Human Resources

Qualification – 1st Class Post Graduation in respective discipline

Experience – At least 3 to 5 years experience in Teaching/ Research and / or in industry at Managerial Level.

Preferred Experience – Ph.D / M.B.A. or equivalent

Scale of Pay – Rs 12000-420-18300/-
