Kerala - CEE- Private Medical Colleges to complete admissions to 35 percent seats under management quota

Management quota seats to be filled by Monday

The Kerala Private Medical College Management Association hasdecided to complete by Monday admissions to 35 percent seats in management quota in the six member-colleges which entered into an agreement with the Government.

The revised fees fixed by the P A Mohammed Committee will be applicable for these seats. The fees for the five self-financing medical colleges namely, Dr Sommerwell Memorial CSI Medical College, Karakonam, Kannur Medical College, Karuna Medical College, Palakkad, SUT Medical College, Vattappara, and Sri Gokulam Medical College, Venjarammoodu, will be Rs 2,40,000. The fees for the MES Medical College, Perinthalmanna, is Rs 2,55,000. Those within 193 ranks in the list have been directed to appear at the colleges along with the originals of the admit card, certificate proving the age, qualification and transfer certificate before Monday.

The same fees will be applicable for the Government quota seats also. However, if the Supreme Court ratifies the agreement between the Government and the managements, the fees for Government quota will be that fixed as per the agreement. The balance amount will be refunded to the students in such cases. In the case of Government quota seats in the self-financing medical colleges, those who did not wish to cancel their admissions as they were not willing to pay the revised fees will have the freedom to revise their options. Those who wish to continue with the allotment can do so by paying the remaining fees amount. Meanwhile, the time for registration of options in the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in/keam for the second round of allotment will end at 5 pm on Friday. The second phase allotment list foradmissions to engineering /medical courses will be published on Tuesday.
