Agricultural Research Service / National Eligibility Test Examination-2009.

Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) will hold a Competitive ARS / NET
Examination – 2009

on 26th April, 2009

for filling up the vacancies of Scientists in Agricultural Research Service (ARS)

in the pay scale of Rs. 8000 -13500

in the ICAR Institutes, combined with National Eligibility Test (NET) for determining eligibility for recruitment of Lecturers and Assistant Professors by the State Agricultural Universities (SAUs). The selected candidates for Agricultural Research Service will be required to serve the Institutes to which they are posted until they find appointment for higher positions through selection at other Institutes.

Age
ARS : A candidate seeking admission to the Agricultural Research Service must have attained the age of 21 years but not have attained the age of 32 years as on 1st January, 2009.

NET : A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years as on 1st January, 2009. There will be no upper age limit for the National Eligibility Test.

Qualification (for both ARS and NET)
A candidate must have a Master’s degree or equivalent in the concerned subject.

Application Fee
The candidates seeking admission to examination must pay to the Board a fee of Rs. 500/- through a Crossed Bank Draft only, drawn in favour of Secretary, ASRB and payable at New Delhi with the application form. Candidates should write their name and address on the reverse of the Bank Draft in the top corner at the time of submission of application. No fee from SC/ST candidates.
