National Maritime Academy (NMA) recruits Master Mariners, Marine Engineers, Supervosors, Instructors, Store Keepers etc as Faculty

National Maritime Academy (NMA) is constituted by the Department of Shipping, Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport & Highways, Government of India. East Coast Road, Uthandi, Chennai 600119

The erstwhile National Institute of Port Management was set up as an autonomous organization and registered under the Tamilnadu Societies Registration Act 1975 for the purpose of imparting training for the port personnel. The Institute, has in later years expanded its activities to cover the training needs of merchant navy personnel as well.

Ministry of Shipping, Government of India has recently notified the up-gradation of NIPM into National Maritime Academy in order to fully reflect the present scope of the Institute’s activities and to further enhance the level of its coverage of maritime education and training. Accordingly, the Institute has been renamed as National Maritime Academy with effect from 07/02/2006.

NMA is looking for suitable candidates for appointment as Faculty for Port & Marine discipline and personnel to man the workshop.

Port Division
Port Management/ Shipping Management/ Logistics/ General Management/ Finance/ IT/Computer/ Economics/ Maritime Economics/ Maritime Law/ Operations Research/ Organisational Behaviour

Marine Division
Master Mariner/ Marine Engineers

Workshop Personnel
Supervisor/ Instructor/ Store Keeper

Age Limit
40 years (for other than departmental candidates). Relaxable by five years for
candidates having experience of more than 10 years
