Adobe Hiring Software Quality Engineers (Job Code:SQE)

RESPONSIBILTY:

Position Summary: Performs in-depth black-box and white-box testing. Responsibilities include writing and executing test scripts and writing test specifications under moderate supervision. Develops or adapts testing tools for functional area. Will work closely with teams to develop new testing tools or leveraging third party utilities. Should be able to convert repetitive manual testing tasks to Java, Apple or Visual Basic scripts, with thorough proficiency in at least one scripting language. Performs ad hoc testing, workflow testing, bug reporting and documentation. Must have used Automated Test Tools and should have good hands on programming experience.

Essential Skills :

• 2 to 12 years experience in product testing, black box or white box testing.
• Further experience in Linux based systems would be a plus.
• Strong Windows or other OS fundamentals.
• C/C++ development on Unix/Linux/Windows.
• Strong scripting experience.
• Should be a hands on contributor.
• Ability to work on long projects and with moderate supervision.
• Should be passionate about testing and willing to explore technologies.
• Should be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have skills:

• Some exposure to OO development and networking.
• Experience in testing for products.
• Knowledge of Adobe products.
• Experience in the Macintosh environment.
• Knowledge in the areas of domains like Print and Publishing technologies, Digital Imaging, Digital Video or Document flow

QUALIFICATIONS:

B.E/B.Tech/MCA with 2 to 12 years experience in software testing
