JNU Combined Biotechnology Entrance Exam 2009

JNU combined Biotechnology Entrance Exam for Admission to M.Sc(biotechnology), M.Sc(agri.), M.V.Sc(biotechnology)& M.Tech (biotechnology). JNU is one of the well known reputed University of India.University was established with an aim of promoting education to the students of India with a view of developong our Nation in terms of Education. JNU provides the education in all fields for developing Indians in the society.University is conducting combined entrance exam for admission into Biotechnology courses.Combined entrance exam will lead admission into these various courses:

Courses:

M.Sc(Biotechnology)

M.Sc(Agri.)

M.V.Sc(Biotechnology)

M.Tech (Biotechnology)

Test Centers:

Agartala, Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Allahabad, Amritsar, Bangalore, Bareily, Bhubaneswar, Calicut, Chandigarh, Chennai, Ciombatore, Dehradun, Delhi, Imphal, Indore, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Katihar, Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, Madurai, Mumbai, Nagpur, Noida, Pantnagar, Patna, Pondichery, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Sambalpur, Shillong, Shimla, Siliguri, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Udaipur, Vadodra, Varanasi, Vijawara and Vishakhapatnam

Eligibility:

For M.Sc Biotechnology Course:

1. Candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree of minimum of 3 years.

2. Candidate must have scored minimum of 55% aggregate in Bachelor course to be eligible for this Master’s course.

3. Candidate must have passed his graduation from one of the Recognised University

4. To be eligible for this course candidate must have cleared his bachelor degree in one of these courses:

Physical

Biological

Agricultural

Veterinary & Fishery Sciences

Pharmacy

engineering/Technology

4-years B.S (physician assistant course)

Medicine(MBBS)

BDS

For M.Sc Agriculture and M.V.Sc Biotechnology Courses:

1. Candidate must have a Bachelor degree of minimum 3 years with atleast 55% aggregate.

2. Candidate must have cleared his Bachelor degree from one of the reputed University.

3. To be eligible for this course candiadte must have cleared his Bachelor degree from one of these courses:

Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry

Agriculture

Horticulture

Forestry

Dairy Technology

For M.Tech Biotechnology Program:

1. Candidate must have minimum of 60% aggregate in B.Tech/B.E

2. Candidate have cleared his Bachelor degree from the recognised University.

3. To be eligible for this course candidate must have passed in of these Bachelor course:

Chemical Engineering

Biochemical Engineering

Industrial Biotechnology

Leather Technology

Biotechnology

Biomedical Engineering

B Pharma

Chemical Technology

Electrochemistry

Bioengineering

For eligibility into this course candidate may have M.Sc in one of these courses:

Biotechnology

Life Sciences

Botany

Zoology

Biochemistry

Microbiology

Genetics

Biophysics

Microbial Genetics

Bioinformatics

Chemistry

Physics

Date of Combined Biotechnology Entrance exam: Mid of May, 2009.

Commencement of sale of Applocation form: First week of February, 2009.

Last date of submission of completed admission brochure: Mid of March, 2009.

  • sir i have completed bsc 2 years ( zoology, botany and chemistry)
    fron university of calcutta.with 58 % in aggregate in the year 1998.
    and BHMS (5 and 1/2 year)bachelor of homoeopathy medicine and surgery with( 58%) from the same university.whether i am eligible to sit for MSC ( BIO TECH) entrance examination??

  • I am in the 3rd year of my BSc Biotechnology program under Punjabi University, Patiala. Please tell me how should I prepare for the JNU Biotechnology Entrance Exam. I prefer to do self study rather than joining a coaching institute. Please advice me about the choice of study material and how can I obtain previous years questions papers. Also advice me about the other entrance exams that I should take.
