I want to ask territorial authorities that why they have mage eligibility as gainfully employed or self employed. As I tell them this type of eligibility is useless because no organisation will allow its employee to join TA without leaving the job. I hope my this suggestion will open the eyes of TA personnel and make only graduation an eligibility. Besides this, the application form is also very large as their are so many wastefull requirements which are also not be required during NDA, IMA,OTA or tecnical entry scheme. So, this should also be checked and reduced by TA.

i can’t understand why we are not getting proper reply for our result and inquiry to join army from respective head quarter.

i fill very bed when this is happen with me.

I am Shri Jit Bahadur Chetri from Assam. I am graduate and I have NCC B and C certificate. Now I am working at Hailakandi Zilla Parishad as a Tax Collector. I am very very very much interested to join the T.A. as JCO only. Please help me.

Eligibility Condition: Only male citizens of India and Ex-Service officer who are medically fit.

Age: 18 to 42 years as on 25 Feb 2011.

Qualification: Graduate form any recognized university.

Employment: Gainfully employed in central Govt. /Semi Govt. /Pvt. Firm/Own Business.

Terms & Conditions of Service:

Ø Commission is granted in the rank of Lieutenant.

Ø Pay and allowances and privileges will be same as Regular Army Officer when embodied for training and military service.

Ø Promotions upto Lt. Col. by time scale subject to fulfilling laid down criteria. Promotion to Colonel and Brigadier by selection.

Ø Officers commissioned in TA infantry may be called out for military service for longer duration depending on requirement.

Embodiment for Training:

Ø One month basic training in the first year of commission.

Ø Two months Annual Training Camp every year including the first year.

Three months Post Commissioning training within four years at IMA Dehradun.

Civilian Candidates:

Application form: All desirous civil candidates are required to obtain the form, from employment newspaper or download http://www.indianarmy.nic.in and send it along with a self addressed stamped envelope of 28×12 cms size, two passport size photographs and postal stamps worth Rs. 12/- affixed on envelope to their respective TA GP Hqs as per the area given below:

Selection Procedure:

Civilian candidates: The candidates are screened by a preliminary interview board (PIB) held at all TA Group Hqs.

Candidates selected by PIB should provide brief bio-data to include details about employment in central govt/semi-govt/private firms/own business with monthly income from all sources at the time of documentation immediately after PIB.

Successful candidates at a later stage are then required to further undergo a service selection board (SSB) and medical board before final selection.

Ex-Service Officers: The candidates are screened by an army headquarters selection board (ASB) held at Addl Directorate Genl. TA, Army Hqs, L Block, New Delhi, which is followed by a Medical Board for successful candidates.

Note:

Candidates called for PIB are required to bring the following documents

Ø Certified copy of educational qualification certificates, all certificates and mark sheets beyond matric.

Ø Latest physical fitness certificate from a registered MBBS doctor.

Ø Service certificate by candidates employed in Central Govt./Union Territory/State Govt./Semi Govt./Private Sector authenticated by head office.

Ø Self employed candidates of having Own Business are required to submit an affidavit on Non-Judicial stamp paper value Rs. 10/- duly attested by the Deputy Commissioner of the District/ Gazetted Officer/ Commissioned Officer stating nature of self-employment and income earned annually whit the attested photocopy of the latest income Tax Return field by the applicant along with photocopy of the PAN card.

Ø Incomplete application will be rejected without intimation.
