New Vacancies at UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (UPSC)

UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING POSTS

1. Surveyor General of India : 01 post in Survey of India, Ministry of Science and Technology, Pay Scale : Rs.22400-24500 Grade, Age : 50 years.
2. Assistant Professors (Mechanical Engineering (Technical)): 03 posts (SC-1, OBC-2) in Delhi College of Engineering, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, Pay Band : Rs.12000-18300, Age : 55 years.

                                                                                                                           

   1.           Candidates are  requested to apply in the format published along with this Advertisement  No. 08  and NOT write to the Commission for application forms.  They are also requested to go through carefully the details of posts and instructions published below before applying.

    2.            NATURE  OF POST  :     The  post at S.No.1 is permanent and  belongs to Survey of India(Grp.A) Service of  persons appointed to the service under rules 7 & 8.  Posts at S.No.2 are permanent & belong  to General Central Service.

    3.     PAY SCALE  & CLASSIFICATION  :  (Figures in bracket at the

   end of the pay scale indicate the approx total emoluments(per month) excluding CCA and HRA at the minimum of the scale).     

    a)Rs.22400-525-24500(Pre-revised Scale) Grp. ‘A’  for the post at S.No.1   above.

    b)Rs.12000-420-18300 (T.E.Rs.26460)(Pre-revised Scale) Group ‘A’ Gazetted for the posts at S.No.2 above

    4.         AGE  LIMIT AS  ON  NORMAL CLOSING DATE        

    a)   Not exceeding 50 years for the post at S. No.1

    b)    Not exceeding 55 years for SC  candidates in respect of vacancies reserved for them   and  not exceeding  53 years for OBC candidates  in respect of vacancies reserved for them for the  posts at S. No.2

   N.B.   The age limit shown against   S.No.1 is   normal age limit. The age  limits shown against S.No.2 are relaxed age limits for  SC & OBC candidates.   AGE IS ALSO RELAXABLE FOR REGULARLY APPOINTED CENTRAL/UT GOVT SERVANTS UPTO FIVE YEARS AS PER THE INSTRUCTIONS ISSUED BY GOVT OF INDIA FROM TIME TO TIME.  For age concession applicable to other categories of applicants please see relevant paras of the Instructions to   Candidates for recruitment by Selection.

    5.         HEADQUARTERS:    At  places specifically stated against  posts, otherwise anywhere in India or aboard.
