5. (a) Explain the various factors that affect. How data in transmission. (12)

(b) Discuss various advantages of networks also discuss in detail about on line information services. (8 )

6. (a) Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of DBMS. (10)

(b) Explain the various types of database organizations.(10)

7. (a) Explain the characteristics of diskette and rules for taking care of them. (10)

(b) Discuss the features of HTML, XML, VRML, JAVA and ACTIVEX. (10)

8. (a) Discuss the six phases of systems analysis and designs in detail. (15)

(b) Write notes on ‘‘security issues’’. (5)
