The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) will organise the common written exam (CWE) for recruitment of Probationary Officers / Management Trainees posts in the Public Sector Banks (19 participating banks). Almost all major public sector banks (except SBI) are going to recruit based on the performance in CWE and hence the CWE Exam is necessary for all candidates to apply for bank PO jobs in any of these 19 banks. These banks offer most lucrative jobs in the banking sector.
The CWE exam will be 250 marks exam and will consists of objective questions in Reasoning (50 questions, 50 marks), English Language (50 questions, 25 marks), Quantitative aptitude (50 questions, 50 marks), General Awareness (50 questions, 50 marks) and Computer Knowledge (50 questions, 50 marks). The paper will also have a 25 marks descriptive (subjective) paper on English Composition(Essay, Precis, Letter Writing etc). CWE exam is going to be highly competitive. Speed and accuracy is the only way to clear the CWE exam. The practice test is based on the pattern suggested by IBPS.
